Brook Wommack has spent her adult life teaching children. While earning her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lamar University, Brook tutored elementary school students. In 1997 she began teaching elementary school in Port Arthur. After several years of teaching, she decided to stay home with her three sons, Spencer, Cameron and Travis. It was during these stay at home years that she discovered Kindermusik. Being raised in a family that valued music and loved to sing, she was thrilled with the musical quality of the program but mostly loved the opportunity to bond with her son during these classes.
As the boys grew older and after spending many years volunteering in the children’s ministry program at the United Methodist Temple, she accepted a position as the church’s first Director of Children’s Ministries and Children’s Choir Director.
While continuing this ministry, she joined the international community of licensed Kindermusik educators and founded Kindermusik with Ms. Brook. Brook believes that every child is musical and that music is a powerful tool for a child’s total development; including development of motor skills, language skills, social skills, cognitive development as well as emotional development.
It is her desire to provide a program that combines her love of music and her love of young children while providing parents a place to have a magical, memorable time with their child.
